Trophy Trout on the famous Kenai River, home to record fishing
adventures
The Kenai River was originally famous
for its Trophy-Class Rainbow Trout fishing, long before it became
popular for the terrific Salmon fishing found here. This outstanding
Rainbow Trout fishery continues today, with native trout over 15 pounds
landed every year.
Action for Dolly Varden is also exceptional.
All of our boats adhere to a strict catch-n-release
policy.
Trout Season begins each year around June 12th
and runs through September. Fly-fishing or spin-fishing, it's your
choice, your guide is equipped with both.
The seasoned fly fisherman is likely in for the
adventure of a lifetime.
Your guide is an excellent fly-fishing instructor
and this is a great chance for beginners to learn the basics of fly-fishing.
As with all of our charters, we welcome beginners and we specialize
in hands on instruction for those who would like to learn.
All of our Rainbow Trout trips are float trips using
drift boats. You will float down the river with your guide and fish
as you are floating. The guide will pull the boat onto gravel bars
where you will wade and cast. We supply all the gear and neoprene
waders. This is an all day trip and is very limited in availability
as it is conducted in a National Refuge. A limited number of permits
are granted. Early reservations are a must!
