Bringing Home Your Catch

Anglers have two choices when deciding how to transport their catch back home. The first is to take your catch with you.  Your catch will be packed in airline approved insulated shipping boxes, not to exceed 70 pounds, and can be checked in with your other luggage at either the Kenai or Anchorage airports.

Your fish boxes will arrive with the rest of your luggage at your final destination. Generally the airlines will allow three pieces of checked luggage at no additional charge. (For example, one suitcase and two boxes of fish.) Additional baggage charges can result if you have more than the allowed baggage, and prices vary according to the airline.

The second option is to have your fish shipped home. This service is provided by overnight express service and the costs vary depending on your home address. Typically a 60 pound box of fish shipped standard overnight service will run around $95. This is delivered to your door. Once you have arrived home you can call our office and we will ship your catch directly to you. This is the most convenient method and ideal for those travelers not heading directly back home.
