Our
Charter Fleet
Due to the many different Alaska fishing possibilities that
guests of Tim Berg's Alaskan Fishing Adventures are able to
chooses from, various styles of boats are used, each
specifically designed for the waters to be fished. Here's a
brief description of some of the vessels.
Cook Inlet: Great Alaska Salt Water Fishing
Our fleet of Cook Inlet vessels are state-of-the-art
boats designed to meet the challenges of this fishery. These
vessels are 30' in overall length with plenty of beam to offer
stability during your day on the water. All vessels are welded
aluminum offering a full cabin and restroom for your comfort.
Our
fleet vessels are manufactured by Koffler Boats and Bruin Boats, both
premier manufacturers of quality Offshore Vessels. During the
production phase of each boat, safety standards are of utmost
importance. All vessels meet U.S.Coast Guard requirements and are
equipped with radar, VHF radios, cell phones, Furuno Electronics
and GPS plotters and navigation charts. Our vessels are well
maintained and replaced on a regular schedule.
In fact, we have commissioned four new vessels since 1998!
Mercury and Yamaha Powered for Reliability
Working closely with
Yamaha Motor Corporation and Mercury Marine has put Tim Berg's
Alaskan Fishing Adventures at the fore-front of the latest
technological advances in the marine industry. This translates
into the most reliable fleet of boats in Alaska assuring our
customers of smooth sailing during their outings. The introduction
of clean burning and second to none reliability of the new
four-stroke outboards is just the latest example of
Yamaha's dominance in the marine industry. Our guests are just amazed
at how quiet and smooth these new engines are. We are excited
about the newest fuel injected four stroke models which are the
most advanced outboards ever built. |

Seward Harbor
Bounty Motor Yachts, a
small custom yacht manufacturer located in Medford, Oregon, has an
excellent reputation for producing exceptional fiberglass vessels
in the 28-48 foot range. Destiny, a 33' Bounty Motor Yacht, has
proved to be very popular with our guests over the past two
seasons.
Virtually equipped with every comfort and amenity you would
expect from a 45' vessel, Destiny has been a welcome addition to
our fleet. During late May and the month of June, she explores the
waters near Montague Island, battling huge halibut on
a daily basis. As testament to her success, during June of 2000 ,
19 days in a row she returned to the dock with halibut over 175
pounds!
During July and August the Destiny primarily chases (and
catches) Silver salmon, rock fish and ling cod. By special
arrangement she will head out to Montague Island during these
months as well. Powered by twin turbo diesels, the Destiny can
achieve speeds up to 35 knots, making it one of the very fastest
boats operating out of the Seward harbor! This translates into
less time running and more time fishing.
Other Sea-going
Vessels During the months of July and August the vessels
"Jedi", "Chewbaca" and "Yoda" team up with the Destiny chasing
Silver salmon and Ling Cod. Full cabins and restrooms help insure
your comfort on the water. Both 1/2 day trips and extended day
trips are available and offer exceptional fishing during the peak
of the Silver Salmon run in Resurrection Bay!

Freshwater Boats
Kenai
River Willie Boats of Medford, Oregon, is recognized as one
of the premier builders and designers of river boats in the
Northwest. Our fleet of river boats are 20' Willie Predators with
a beam of 8'. These are large, stable, roomy boats that are
perfect for a days fishing on the Kenai River. These vessels are
powered by quiet, clean burning 4-stroke engines built by Yamaha
and Mercury.
Kasilof River
The Kasilof River is an extremely shallow river, perfect for
MacKenzie style drift boats. We use 20' drift boats outfitted with
four jump seats. These are stable vessels and are powered
exclusively by your guide. No motors here, it it is just too
shallow. This is very exciting as you latch onto a big King salmon
and your guide does everything in his power to chase the mighty
fish!
