New 40' Catamaran Join's Tim's Fleet

We added a new, sleek, fast, heavy duty custom built aluminum catamaran for the 2007 season. The manufacturer, Armstrong Boats, of Port Angeles, Washington has had great success with this vessel. Powered by twin state-of-the-art low emission Volvo Diesels. It cruises comfortably at 27 knots. This is a perfect addition to our fleet. With sleeping accommodations for up to 10, it offers our guests the option of long range, spring black bear hunts, deer hunts and overnight fishing adventures.

This vessel is extremely stable and gives our guests access to waters not easily fished by smaller, slower vessels. It also allows our larger groups the option to all fish together if they so desire, as this vessel, the Tia Rose, is licensed for 18.

The introduction of clean burning and second to none reliability of the new four-stroke outboards is just the latest example of Yamaha's dominance in the marine industry. Our guests are just amazed at how quiet and smooth these new engines are. We are excited about the newest fuel injected four stroke models which are the most advanced outboards ever built.
Cook Inlet, Kenai Peninsula

During the months of May, June, July and August our entire Saltwater Fleet in both Homer and Seward chases multiple species. These Marine rich waters are loaded with all of the favorites - King Salmon, Hallibut, Silver Salmon, Yellow Eye Rockfish, Ling Cod, Black Rockfish and the mighty Salmon Shark.

We target all of the hard to get to areas rarely fished by other anglers Montague Island, Perl Island, Hitchenbrook and more. All of our vessels can achieve speeds up to 30 knots which translates into less time running and more time fishing.

Freshwater Boats
Kenai River
Willie Boats of Medford, Oregon, is recognized as one of the premier builders and designers of river boats in the Northwest. Our fleet of river boats are 20' Willie Predators with a beam of 8'. These are large, stable, roomy boats that are perfect for a days fishing on the Kenai River. These vessels are powered by quiet, clean-burning 4-stroke engines built by Yamaha and Mercury.
Kasilof River
The Kasilof River is an extremely shallow river, perfect for MacKenzie style drift boats. We use 20' drift boats outfitted with four jump seats. These are stable vessels and are powered exclusively by your guide. No motors here, it it is just too shallow. This is very exciting as you latch onto a big King salmon and your guide does everything in his power to chase the mighty fish!

Gear and Tackle
Penn Tackle is furnished on all of our charter vessels. We outfit each of our vessels with a complete assortment of the latest and greatest new gear and tackle that is being introduced to the sportfishing marketplace each year. All of the innovative new technologies in the sportfishing world are sent directly to us each summer for testing purposes which allows our anglers access to some of the most fantastic new gear and tackle - long before it ever reaches the marketplace.

6/0 circle hooks baited with a variety of chunk bait, along with jigs, are the very most effective way to entice Halibut in these waters to bite. Your Captain and deckhand will bait your hooks and instruct you on technique and assist you in any possible way to insure that you have a trip of a lifetime.

Featured in Saltwater Sportsman magazine
Dave Vedder and friends fish with Tim for The King of Ling.

"All morning long we hauled up huge ling - fish in the 30 to 50 pound class... this had already been a trip of a lifetime..."

Pacific Coast Sportfishing magazine featured Dave Vedder's Grande Time in Seward:
"In the first half day of Lingcod fishing, we landed more than 50 huge lings ranging from 25 to 60 pounds... Even on heavy tackle, the big lings were tough. Whenever any of us became too tired to haul up yet another monster Ling, we'd jig for salmon. They too came so easy it was almost like an anglers dream."
